"I absolutely fell in love with all the cosmetic products that I bought that day. I also gave some of the products to my sister for her birthday and even though she is very sensitive to most cosmetic products, these do not irritate her skin at all, so she is very happy too. Thank you a million for that!" Aneta

Our story
As young women within love Life Generation we strive to inspire, involve and motivate others to “ be the hange you want to see in the world”. So why not start with ourselves? We made a start by:
* recognizing that we are always under pressure to look good

* understanding how the media influences our choices to buy products without checking what’s in them, how they affect us or the environ
ment
* realizing that we are all unique and one idea of beauty does not fit everyone
* learning to value natural beauty inside and out – a natural beauty that helps us feel good, look good and not hurt the environment.
This is how we turned these thoughts into action to create our own brand of natural products
1. love Life Generation applied and receivedfunding from the British Council EU Youth in Action Scheme to set up an enterprise project
2. Haqqani Herbs (medical herbalist practice) taught us about herbs, essential oils, bases for products, safety testing, labelling requirements etc.
3. We worked with Haqqani Herbs over several weeks to make all the products
4. We also completed a training course on setting up a small social enterprise and marketing
5. We have had our products passed safety and legislation and then we hit the markets to bring our wonderful hand made natural products to you.

loveLife Peer Mentoring training helps 11 year olds

Having completed the loveLife Generation leadership training, 23 young people from Kingsford school (Year 11 and Year 12) undertook an intense Peer Mentoring training programme.  Each week they learnt about a different aspect of what it takes to become an effective peer mentor and befriender. They not only learnt about the skills required they practised their skills week after week on each other to develop and enhance themselves as peer mentors.
They are currently working with Year 7's (11 and 12 year olds) mentoring them every week.
This sort of relationship has proven to be extremely succesful to the mentors and their mentees. The mentors have grown in confidence with the responsibility of taking a younger person under the wing. The mentees have been able to take this opportunity of having one on one conversations with other young people to identify their needs and to work on them.
This programme has also been highly beneficial to the school in areas of behaviour and attitudes. It is really great that the older kids are able to take on such an effective leadership role within the school and act as positive  role models as fellow students. They have built a friendship with the younger kids and this want to help other students is something the current Year 7's will take with them as they move up the school

loveLife Generation try Wheelchair Basketball

I along with other volunteers helped to run the wheelchair basketball tournaments which was held in the UEL sports centre .The first part of the event was mainly for training younger players as they did various drills and exercises. The volunteers mainly filled the signup sheets for the players who came. We were all excited to see so many players and so many people come to see their friends come to support them.

One thing that struck me was that this game is more inclusive than non wheel chair basketball (running basketball) as some of the players did not rely on wheelchairs and could walk but still enjoyed playing the game. Experiencing what it was like to be in a wheel chair was both exciting and daunting at the same time.We began to appreciate how difficult it would be to live in one for the remainder of our lives. This inspired me and many of the volunteers to try hard to reach our goals as some of the wheelchair players had faced adversities and still play the game they love.

The admission area began to become busier around 12 as people were arriving for the tournament. This was interesting to me as I had never seen professional wheelchair basketball players before. It was engaging to see them play as they were skilled and showed dedication.even while the games were in full swing the atmosphere was very relaxed. Music played through the breaks and children were dancing on the stands. People went there to have fun as well as compete.

To sum up the event it was an inspiring awesome way to spend time.
